  1. A tri position is more about the balance between aerodynamics and comfort. In a TT it’s all about aero, Olympian and BMC pro rider says that you basically put yourself in an uncomfortable position for around an hour. With half and full IM you’re on the bike at least two and a half hours, and have to be concerned with the run after so you focus more on keep the hips open and the strain off the lower back.

  2. From an Interview with Lance on Ironman.com after the above race: “Also the position is totally different from an upright road position and a TT position. I actually raised my position for Florida because I thought I was too low and was putting too much strain on my gut. I ate less, raised my position …”

  3. i think he should put his socks on in T1 as the few seconds it takes he can make up easier on the bike than if he puts them on in T2 those few seconds are harder to make up on the run for him , i think .

  4. Macca doing Kona IM now that he was not selected for Australian Olympic Triathlon team. That moves Lance back more one spot at the finish line at Kona.

  5. you are saying that Lance Armstrong: “‘Needs to work on the aero position on the bike”…
really? Can you please say it one more time.. And then think about that sentence, and the person that you are talking about, and the person speakink (you).. wow

  6. Respect. Lance’s a legend of endurance sport. Solid swim, awesome bike, high cadence should help his running form. Needs to work on the aero position on the bike, then loose 10lbs to get him home on the run. Welcome back to triathlon, watch our sport catapult to mainstream media now where it belongs.

  7. Why only 110 views? Where are the millions of LA fans in his time of need?

    Go Lance. Please. Once more.
