My dad was running In a Marathon and ran right passed him 😀

The letter specifically alleges that “multiple riders with firsthand knowledge” will testify that Armstrong used EPO, blood transfusions, testosterone and masking agents, and that he distributed and administered drugs to other cyclists from 1998 to 2005. The letter alleges that numerous witnesses will testify that Armstrong also used human growth hormone before 1996.

The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency brought formal doping charges against former cyclist Lance Armstrong in an action that could cost him his seven Tour de France titles, according to a letter sent to Armstrong and several others Tuesday.
As a result of the charges, Armstrong has been immediately banned from competition in triathlons, a sport he took up after his retirement from cycling in 2011.

Huh. I missed (by a bit). Lance finished 7th. The hint was dead on though, lol.

(0:25 “Under 19 minutes swim” … that’s like 58 seconds per 100 metres, matching the pool 1500m world record!!! lol!! — uhhh, that was no real 1.2 miles — otherwise these guys should be swimming in the Olympics!). Sunday in Galveston – 48 pros instead of 23: Armstrong goes up against the likes of M. Raelart, Vanhoenacker, O’Donnell, Schildknecht, Amey, Rhodes, Kienle. Now that’s more of a pro field (unlike Panama). LA gete smoked this weekend. (Hint: It’ll be on the run.). Prediction: 8th.

Interesting set up with athletes riding out of T1 instead of running their bikes to a safe area before mounting…a potential hazard as Age Groupers come out of the swim??!!

VAMOS LANCE, lol

0:47 I’m going to use this ‘cap toss’ move at my next triathlon, except my swim cap will be oiled with banana peel extract.

Watch Lance cut the Panama bike course when he went off course: google “Exclusive Video: Lance Goes Off Course In Panama” – kinda harkens back to his TDF “x-country” cut-through when he was forced around a downed rider. I expect others might be DQ’d for the triathlon course cut. No significant advantage gained here of course. ance is used to TDF with offiicials and barriers and team radio keeping him on course. Still, can’t help sensing Lance beleives he lives in his own world.

I’ve seen many comments around that are about his penalties, I wonder if at least IM organization took the time to explain him the rules to not repeat them again…one more time of this same situation and IM will be seriously questioned about their commitment to comply with the game rules…equity I have never questioned Armstrong’s capacity, his achievements are completely respectful, but he should respect other people. Saw him on the finish line leaving Doherty waiting for a hand shake?

I had to pee into a bottle and give blood after finishing at Kona. I wonder if Lance will have to? Or does he get his own private tent, and none of that “crap”?

According to the official results for the event, Oscar Galindez of Argentina beat Lance’s time on the bike by nearly 3 minutes. Lance had the THIRD fastest bike time in this event. Triathlon’s a different sport. There have been 2:14 and better marathoners have a go at triathlon to maintain fitness and experiment after stopping competitiive marathoning, and some of them haven’t broken 3 hours on the IM marathon run. Lance won’t be a whole lot better than Chris Lieto on the bike in Kona.

I got a littering penalty in Louisville for throwing my cap to a kid in the crowd.
TheRRC86
And not only throws his cap away, when he finish the bike ride he throws his helmet before hang the bike on the rack that is enough to get disqualified. Any of us doing that would get penalized, but he did not. That is a shame on IM organization. Even more, he got full assistance before start the swimming, a bunch of people helped him with his goggles, cap and so on! Those one of us that were there waiting out turn to jump in the water were in shock because of that.
zeppafloyd
how far was the run from swim to transition, a half mile?
swimdogff
He threw swim cap….I would have gotten penalized in my race for doing that.

Thats just what i was thinking.

Imagine the guys’ swim potential, wow!
Just got some work to do on that bike leg.
When a rips down he’ll take 5 mins of that run leg as well!
peler87
i like how Lance just throws his cap anywhere before transition!

pros can ride in T1 and no # belt needed on bike.

0:49 Lance just throws his swim cap. Shouldn’t that be a penalty for leaving equipment on the course?
